NY Forward begins on May 16th
This is the phased plan that will reopen New York State.
This plan focuses on getting people back to work and easing social isolation without triggering renewed spread of the virus or overwhelming the hospital system.
We are working behind the scenes at the library to ensure that we will be able to serve our patrons safely once our library, and the Mid-Hudson Library System, have entered the phase where we’re allowed to be back up and running again.
In the meantime the book drop will be available if people need to return items. We are checking the book drop 6 days a week.
No fines will be accrued during the time that we are closed.
We will post updates online as we get them.
FYI – Library workers do not have regular access to our library software at this time and are unable to access and update patron accounts easily. Go to the Dover Plains Library’s facebook page and send us a message, or call the library at 845-832-6605 and leave a voicemail message, if you need your card updated. Our Interim Director will be checking the messages every few days. Thank you.
