October 5, 2019 –
Teens, do you want community service hours for helping people in need? Do you want to wow colleges on your application? Be a part of our new Teen Advisory Group at the library & join our new Helping Hands project. This group will help older folks or other people in need in the community by doing things like light yard work, picking up things from the store, visiting our homebound patrons to drop off books, plan & implement fundraisers or donation drives for the library or other community non-profits (like the food pantry), sort through donated books and help set up & run books sales.. and most importantly : Encourage other teens to use the library! Stop in, call 832-6605, or email firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up.
We offer story times and other activities for children, teens & adults— including a book discussion group, a knitting group & free yoga classes! Check our program calendar or call the library at 845-832-6605.
