LIBRARY BUILDING CLOSED
May 16-31, 2020N/A
The library is closed and is required to remain closed for as long as NY State is ‘On Pause’and all non-essential businesses are mandated to be closed.
May 15th will begin Governor Cuomo's phased plan to Un-Pause NY.
The Mid-Hudson Library System's Directors have reached out to raise the profile of public libraries with the agency tasked on producing guidance related to the COVID-19 Executive Order.
Libraries, just like schools and businesses, need guidance on reopening to the public.
Governor Cuomo has told town officials they are working on library specific guidance. We'll be hard at work behind the scenes to implement their ideas once that guidance is handed down!
In the meantime the book drop will be available if people need to return items. We will be checking the book drop 6 days a week.
No fines will be accrued during the time that we are closed.
We will post updates online as we get them.
FYI - Library workers do not have regular access to our library software at this time and are unable to access and update patron accounts easily.Go to the Dover Plains Library’s facebook page and send us a message, or call the library at 845-832-6605 and leave a voicemail message, if you need your card updated. Our Interim Director will be checking the messages every few days. Thank you.
We offer story times and other activities for children, teens & adults— including a book discussion group, a knitting group & free yoga classes! Check our program calendar or call the library at 845-832-6605.
