Friends of Dover Plains Library

The Friends of Dover Plains Library is a 501c3 non-profit organization founded in August of 2022 that supports Dover Plains Library through volunteer work and fundraising efforts. The relationship between the Friends and the Library is outlined by a Memorandum of Understanding. As the Friends is an independent organization, they have their own By-Laws.

The group meets every other month. The next meeting will be Tuesday, January 20 at 6:30 pm.

Scholarship Contest

Friends of Dover Plains Library offer an annual scholarship contest open to all Dover High School seniors.

The image depicts a young woman in a graduation gown holding a diploma. The accompanying text informs about a $500 scholarship offered by the Friends of Dover Plains Library. The scholarship is open to Dover High School seniors only. Applicants create a video that shows how the Dover Plains Library improved their lives and/or uplifted the community. Submissions are due April 1, 2025 with notification of the award by May 1, 2025.
